DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an email authentication method that uses cryptographic signatures to confirm whether messages were sent from your domain and haven’t been altered in transit.
This article outlines how to configure DKIM for emails sent using Bullhorn, a cloud-based staffing and recruitment platform.
Log in to your DNS hosting provider’s admin dashboard. Alternatively, if you’ve added Sendmarc to your DKIM Settings, you can follow the process described here.
Navigate to the DNS settings or DNS Management section.
Example path: Manage Domain > DNS Settings > Add CNAME Record
Create a new CNAME record using the format below:
Replace mydomainname.com
with your actual domain name.
Example:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
bh | CNAME | bh._domainkey.bullhornmail.com |
Save the record and allow DNS changes to propagate (may take up to 48 hours).
Once the CNAME record has been published:
Contact Bullhorn Support and let them know you are ready to enable DKIM signing on your domain.
Bullhorn will complete the setup on their end to authenticate mass emails and ensure DMARC compliance.
To update your DKIM record through Sendmarc, please refer to the Sendmarc DKIM Setup Documentation.
Bullhorn’s official DKIM configuration guide can be found here.
