Inky Phish Fence DKIM Setup

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication protocol that allows the receiver to check that an email was indeed sent and authorized by the domain owner. It helps protect against email spoofing and improves email deliverability.

Inky Phish Fence is a cloud-based email security platform that scans and analyzes emails across your entire environment. Due to the way this ICESS (Inline Cloud Email Security Solutions) platform functions, its approach to DKIM is unique.

Important Note About DKIM for Inky Phish Fence

Inky Phish Fence does not support DKIM signing of outbound messages. This limitation is due to how Inky intercepts and processes emails within its platform. Because emails are routed through Inky’s infrastructure, standard DKIM signing is not implemented.

If DKIM compliance is necessary, Inky recommends that customers route emails through an external SMTP relay that supports DKIM, or use a sending service that supports DKIM signing before the message is handed off to Inky.
