SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication protocol that helps prevent unauthorized senders from forging messages on behalf of your domain. It does this by specifying which mail servers are permitted to send email on behalf of your domain.
This guide walks you through the steps to configure SPF for 1-Grid, a South African web hosting provider.
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:another.net include:spf1.ip4:41.185.8.225 ~all |
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:spf1.ip4:41.185.8.225 ~all |
Use the Email Deliverability tool to view or install the suggested SPF record.
If your DNS is hosted on 1‑Grid, click “Install Suggested Record”.
If your DNS is managed elsewhere (e.g., Cloudflare), copy the record and publish it manually via your DNS provider.
Follow Sendmarc’s instructions here to update your SPF DNS record through their platform.
You can access 1-Grid’s official documentation for further guidance here.
