SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication method that helps prevent unauthorized servers from sending emails on behalf of your domain. By specifying which servers are allowed to send for your domain, SPF reduces the risk of spoofing and improves email deliverability.
This guide explains how to set up SPF for Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration. To ensure proper authentication, you’ll need to add Check Point’s authorized sending servers to your domain’s SPF record.
Note: If you’re already using Sendmarc for SPF management, simply copy ‘include:spfa.cpmails.com’ and follow the steps here.
To authorize Check Point Harmony Email (Avanan) to send emails on your domain’s behalf:
Example of an updated SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:another.net include:spfa.cpmails.com ~all |
Example of a new SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:spfa.cpmails.com ~all |
Allow up to 48 hours for DNS propagation, depending on your DNS host.
