SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication method that identifies which mail servers are allowed to send emails on behalf of your domain. Configuring SPF helps reduce spoofing, improve email deliverability, and protect your domain from unauthorized use.
Trend Micro Email Security, including the InterScan Messaging Security platform, offers advanced protection against threats and supports SPF checking to validate sender authenticity.
This guide will walk you through the steps to configure SPF for your domain when using Trend Micro as your email relay or filtering service.
Note: If you’re already using Sendmarc for SPF management, simply copy ‘include:spf-us.tmes.trendmicro.com’ and follow the steps here.
To authorize Trend Micro Interscan to send emails on your domain’s behalf:
Example of an updated SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:another.net include:spf-us.tmes.trendmicro.com ~all |
Example of a new SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:spf-us.tmes.trendmicro.com ~all |
Allow up to 48 hours for DNS propagation, depending on your DNS host.
