SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is an email authentication protocol that helps prevent spammers from sending emails on behalf of your domain. By adding a special TXT record to your domain’s DNS settings, SPF verifies that ActiveCampaign is authorized to send emails on your behalf—helping protect your brand and improve inbox placement.
This guide will walk you through how to set up SPF for your domain when using ActiveCampaign as your email service provider.
Note: If you’re already using Sendmarc for SPF management, simply copy ‘include:emsd1.com’ and follow the steps here.
To authorize ActiveCampaign to send emails on your domain’s behalf:
Example of an updated SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:another.net include:emsd1.com ~all |
Example of a new SPF record:
Host | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
@ or blank | TXT | v=spf1 include:emsd1.com ~all |
Allow up to 48 hours for DNS propagation, depending on your DNS host.
